A model to supplement the Buckyball kit instructions from Zometool.
Zometool’s instructions for the Buckyball kit include partial instructions for a “4D Buckyball”. This is a vZome model of that object, a polytope from the same symmetry group (H4) as the 120-cell and the 600-cell.
This is the Cantitruncated 600-cell, and can be considered to be the 4D analogue of the truncated icosahedron, or Buckyball.
In vZome, it is easy to create, using the “Generate Polytope…” command:
When the dialog appears, set the last three “use mirror” checkboxes, and hit the “Generate” button.
